Why cash gaps and spreadsheet forecasts disrupt contracting

Spreadsheets rebuilt every week

Today Staff spend hours copying certificate dates, vendor bills and bank lines into a spreadsheet that becomes outdated as soon as changes occur.

With MG Build The cash forecast reads directly from issued certificates, approved vendor bills and bank statements already recorded in MG Build.

Client payments delayed sixty days

Today A client pays a progress certificate two months late, leaving management unaware of the upcoming shortfall until cash runs short.

With MG Build Updating an expected certificate receipt date shifts incoming cash across future weeks, highlighting projected gaps in advance.

Supplier and subcontractor dues collide

Today Material deliveries and subcontractor certificates arrive together, with no visibility into total cash outflows due next week.

With MG Build Approved subcontractor certificates and supplier bills show clear due dates, letting you plan disbursements by project and week.

Retention money tracked on paper

Today Retention amounts withheld on certificates get lost across project files, making it hard to know when retention can be claimed.

With MG Build Retention held on client certificates stays visible as an outstanding balance until it is released.
