Operators start, pause and finish work orders on a tablet at each work centre, recording time, scrap and quality checks as batches move through your factory.

Why paper travellers and shift-end notes disrupt factory output
Shift-end time logs written from memory
Today
Operators fill paper sheets at the end of the shift, guessing how many minutes were spent on setups, runs, pauses and machine breakdowns.
With MG Factory
Operators tap start and pause directly on the tablet at the work centre, giving accurate labour and machine hours for batch costing.
Unrecorded scrap hidden until month end
Today
Damaged parts and wasted materials are discarded without writing down counts or reasons, leaving inventory records and costs incorrect.
With MG Factory
Operators log scrap quantities and select the rejection reason before finishing the work order, updating material stock and actual cost.
Lost or stained paper routing sheets
Today
Work orders travel in paper folders across dusty or oily workstations, getting misplaced, stained or read from an old instruction sheet.
With MG Factory
The work order on the tablet shows the routing's current instructions and the step's requirements where the work happens.
Shop floor progress hidden from office
Today
Production managers walk the factory floor to check which stage a customer order is in, because paper sheets stay at the workstation.
With MG Factory
Work order status updates as operators finish each operation, showing production progress and work centre load across the factory.
What you get
What you get with work centre tablets in MG Factory
Shop-floor work order queue
Tablets at each workstation show the queue of scheduled operations, allowing operators to pick up the next assigned job in sequence.
Operation timer and pause tracking
Operators start, pause for breaks or maintenance, and finish operations with clear buttons, capturing labour and machine run times.
Digital routing instructions
Step-by-step instructions from the routing appear clearly on the screen where the work takes place.
In-process quality checks
Operators complete pass or fail checks, enter the required measurements and attach photos before finishing the operation.
Scrap reporting
Record defective quantities alongside specific scrap reason codes so inventory balances adjust and scrap causes stay visible.
Feeds batch costing and planning
Recorded times, output quantities and material scrap roll up into the actual cost of the batch and show workstation workload.
How it works
How work centre tablets operate on your shop floor
1
Select the assigned work order
The operator reviews the workstation queue on the tablet and opens the scheduled work order for the assigned production batch.
2
Read instructions and start timer
Review routing steps and specifications on screen, then tap start to track operational duration, pausing if an interruption occurs.
3
Record output, scrap and inspection
Enter completed quantities, log scrap items with rejection reasons, and perform the required pass or fail quality checks.
4
Finish and update batch records
Finish the operation to move the batch to the next workstation, updating batch costs and plant progress in the main system.
What kind of tablets can we use on the factory floor?
A standard tablet at each work centre is enough: the work order screens open in its browser, in Arabic or English. Setting the tablets up is part of the implementation.
Are work centre tablet screens available in Arabic and English?
Yes. Work order queues, operation instructions, scrap reason codes and quality checklists are available in Arabic and English, with full right-to-left layout for Arabic-speaking operators.
How do tablet logs connect to batch costing and accounting?
Recorded labour minutes, machine times and reported material scrap roll up into the actual cost of each production order and land in the accounts in KWD.
Is work centre tablet management included in the Essential package?
Yes. In Kuwait, the Essential package is KWD 45 per month per system with a one-time KWD 100 setup fee and 3 free support hours. There are no per-user fees or per-workstation charges.
Who owns our shop-floor production data, and where does it run?
You own your data completely. You can export production histories, scrap logs and costing reports to Excel or CSV at any time, and choose to run on the regional cloud or your own factory server.
